Morgan Strauss

Director of Operations

Morgan is a user interface leader with 17 years of experience designing digital and analog interfaces for the aerospace, medical, automation, and entertainment industries. He's taught many classes and seminars, including 'Interface Design for Touchscreens' at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Prior to founding Guifx, Morgan proved himself to be something of a 'Renaissance man' with job titles as varied as Mechanical Designer and Director of Marketing.

Nando Albuquerque

Designer

Nando started drawing even before he learned how to speak. Nowadays, with creative energy to burn, he uses his free time to write stories for his two children, Luiza and Vinicius, and build things with his hands. (He built his first bicycle DIY style.) One day, he'd like to illustrate a book.

Nando has 11 years of professional experience in illustration, icon design, and interface design. Prior to joining Guifx, he operated his own design firm.

Lance Thackeray

Designer

Lance is well known in the world of interface design for his unique style and unparalleled eye for detail. He has created default skins for many applications, and his work has received spotlight attention in numerous articles and as "daily deviations" on deviantArt.

Lance's biggest loves are music production and art, but he has a passion for all things creative. He also enjoys learning new skills and sharing his knowledge. In 2007, he founded the popular site, guistation.com, an online community for budding interfacers.

Dan Wiersema

Senior Designer

Dan's original icons have been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times, and his logo designs have received numerous awards and worldwide critical acclaim.

Before joining Guifx, he spent six years in the advertising industry, where he worked in pre-press, print & Web design, marketing, and interactive multimedia. A graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale (with creative roots in graffiti art), Dan has degrees in both Graphic Design and Interactive Media Design.

John Kostrey

Multimedia Specialist

John's our interface design Swiss-army knife. Left brain and right - he's savvy with both coding and graphics. He graduated from the acclaimed Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale with a bachelor's degree in Interactive Media Design. He has 10 years of multimedia experience - 5 of them with American Express before joining Guifx.

John loves the outdoors. He doesn't get a chance to snowboard here in Florida, but he enjoys traveling… and seeks out mountainous terrain wherever he goes.

Valerie Hoover

Chief Financial Officer

Valerie is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, with a degree in Finance. Stacks of accounting papers keep her busy during the day, but her true passion is for the three children that she and her loving husband Jeff treasure – Alexandria, Jeffrey, and Josh.

Our crystal ball shows Valerie becoming a wonderful grandmother, and the author of a great American novel.
